Why Meditate?

We meditate to become who we are: Beautiful and natural beings, able to freely express love and who return to kindness, again and again. This is already our true nature, but it’s sometimes obscured by our mental habits, our fears, trauma and confusions. Meditation gives us the chance to live in the peaceful stream that our mind always maintains alongside the turmoil of outer and inner events.

Over time, we can come to see how our mind manufactures its own pain and stress, spinning it anew in each moment from our stories of the past. And so, meditation, whether we do it alone or with others, is a very deep part of the path to returning to who we really are.
